About

A loving wife and mother of a princess. We both love to cook! We have multiple intolerances in our home which include gluten, dairy, peanuts, oats, and conventional meat. I was recently diagnosed with Hastimoto’s Disease–an autoimmune disease that attacks your thyroid. I like to share a little bit about my journey with that disease while I try to find and make recipes that the whole family can enjoy and find wonderful substitutes for the things I can’t eat. I also share about running my household, my hobbies, my business, or some of the other many things that pop into my head!

Wow, and I thought cutting out wheat was a bit of a challenge.

      I know right?!
After doing this detox diet for the last six weeks I am finding that I feel better without sugar also. Sugar is in EVERYTHING thats gluten free and processed. But I am thankful I dont have issues with any particular veggies or fruits or beans!

I have nominated you for the Fields of Flowers blogging award. You put so much into your blogs, both food and family posts, that your blog is a delightful place to visit. Hoping that others with food allergies will find you and benefit from your blog. If you choose to accept this award, the instructions are here: http://inmysecretgarden.wordpress.com/2014/03/08/a-blogging-award-from-rachel-carrera-novelist-the-field-of-flowers-award/ If not, I will still leave you on my award page just because it’s such a great place to find good recipes for those of us who have allergies.

Oh, wow! I love your Mom’s blog, and now I can love yours, too! I’m allergic/intolerant to just about every food as well. Nice to meet you! 🙂
